1 room · King bed · West-facing balcony
A king-bed room with a west-facing balcony — sunset views every evening, a private balcony of your own, at our most accessible rate.
The Standard is one king-bed room with a private west-facing balcony and an en-suite bathroom. Same sheets and towels, same chai service, same access to everything else at the homestay. We call it Standard because the room itself is slightly smaller than the Deluxes — that's the main difference.
The balcony faces west. Every evening when the sun starts dipping behind the ridgeline, it gets the colour. Most guests in this room don't go anywhere for sunset — they just step out with chai and stay there until the stars come out.
Most guests come down to the café for meals — that's where the place comes alive. If you'd rather eat in the room or on the balcony, we'll bring it up. No fuss either way.
There's only one Standard, so it books up early. Message us with your dates and we'll let you know.

Frequently Asked Questions
The room itself is slightly smaller — that's the main difference. Everything else is essentially the same: a king-size bed, a private balcony, an en-suite bathroom, the same chai service, the same kettle and tea, the same Wi-Fi, the same access to the café and the trails. The Standard sits at our most accessible price for guests who want all of that without paying for the larger Deluxe footprint.
Yes. Like all the rooms at Windmill Inn, the Standard is pet-friendly. Tell us in advance if you're bringing a dog so we can plan housekeeping and let our other guests know.
Yes — the Standard's balcony faces west, which is why we always mention sunsets when describing the room. From late afternoon until the sun drops behind the ridgeline, the balcony catches the warmest light of the day. Most guests in this room end up taking their evening tea outside.
Since there's only one Standard room, weekends and holiday weeks tend to fill up first. For weekend stays, two to three weeks ahead is usually safe. Weekdays are generally easier to grab on short notice. Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and we'll let you know what's available.
Yes. The bathroom has its own water heater, and we keep it on through the day in winter so you can shower whenever — late mornings, after a hike, before bed. If you ever find it cold, let us know and we'll fix it within minutes.
