Our largest room. A corner suite with windows on two sides, an east-facing balcony, and a separate dressing area. The widest stretch of view from any room here.

The biggest room in the house

This is the largest room at Windmill Inn. It sits on a corner, with windows on two sides — east and the adjacent direction — which gives it a wider stretch of view than any other room here. The bed faces the window. There's a separate dressing area off to the side, which keeps the bedroom uncluttered.

An east-facing balcony

The balcony runs along the east side of the room, with two chairs and a tiled floor. It's covered, so a passing rain won't end the evening. The valley drops away into terraced fields and oak forest, with layered ranges behind. After sunset you can see lights flicker on across the valley.

Most guests come down to the café for breakfast. If you'd rather have it on the balcony — eggs, toast, honey, a press of coffee — just say so and we'll bring it up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions guests ask about
the Super Deluxe room

What makes the Super Deluxe different from the other rooms?

Mainly three things. It's our largest room, it sits on a corner so the windows give a wider stretch of view than the others, and it has a separate dressing area off the bedroom. Other rooms see one direction of the valley — this one sees two.

Can I really watch the sunrise from bed?

Yes. The bed is positioned facing the east-facing window, and on most mornings the first light hits the room without you having to lift your head. The window is large enough that you don't have to be sitting up to see the ridgeline. If you don't want to be woken by it, the curtains are lined and block out most of the light.

Does this room have air conditioning?

Yes. Most of the year the mountain air handles cooling on its own — the rest of the rooms have ceiling fans and that's enough. The Super Deluxe also has an AC, which is useful on summer afternoons when the corner orientation catches more sun than the other rooms. If you're visiting in May or June and AC matters to you, this is a good room for it.

How far in advance should I book the Super Deluxe?

For weekends, ideally 2–3 weeks ahead. Long weekends and holiday weeks can fill up a month out. Weekdays are usually easier to get on shorter notice. Since there's only one of these rooms, we hold it with a 50% advance — message us on WhatsApp once you have your dates and we'll send you everything you need.

Is the Super Deluxe pet-friendly?

Yes — Windmill Inn is pet-friendly across all rooms, Super Deluxe included. Tell us in advance if you're bringing a pet so we can plan housekeeping and let our other guests know. The extra floor space makes this room one of the easiest to share with a dog.
