3 rooms · King bed · Private balcony
Three king-bed rooms with private balconies. Two face east for the sunrise. One faces west for the evening light. Pick whichever the universe hands you.
The Deluxe is our most-stayed-in category — three king-bed rooms, each with its own private balcony. Inside the room: a wood-headboard king bed, two chairs by the window, a writing desk with kettle and tea, full-length curtains for late mornings, and an en-suite bathroom. Wood and tile floors throughout, which are quieter on the feet and easier to keep clean.
We don't pre-assign Deluxe rooms by orientation — whichever is free when you arrive is the one you get. If you have a strong preference, message us on WhatsApp before you book and we'll do our best, especially if you're flexible on dates. The east-facing rooms look out toward the sunrise side of the valley; the west-facing one looks out toward the sunset side. Both look out at the mountains — just different mountains, at different times of day.
Most guests come down to the café for meals — that's where the place comes alive in the mornings and evenings. If you'd rather eat in the room or on the balcony, we'll bring it up. No fuss either way.
There are three Deluxe rooms, so they're usually easier to book than the Super Deluxe or Standard. Message us with your dates and we'll let you know what's free.

Frequently Asked Questions
You can request, but we can't guarantee. Whichever Deluxe is free when you arrive is the one you'll get. If you have a strong preference, message us on WhatsApp before you book and we'll do our best — particularly if you're flexible on dates. On weekends and holiday weeks we usually can't honour orientation requests.
Three main things. The Super Deluxe is bigger, has windows on two sides (corner room), and is the only room with air conditioning. It also has a separate dressing area. The Deluxe rooms are still spacious, have king beds, and have private balconies — but they're a single orientation each, no AC, and no separate dressing room. The Super Deluxe costs ₹500 more per night. For most guests the Deluxe is the better value; the Super Deluxe is worth the upgrade for honeymoons, longer stays, or summer visits when AC matters.
Yes — Windmill Inn is pet-friendly across all rooms. The Deluxe rooms in particular have wood and tile floors that are easier to keep clean if you're travelling with a dog. Tell us in advance so we can plan housekeeping and let our other guests know.
Yes, and it's something we encourage. If you're a small group of friends or an extended family travelling together, taking all three Deluxes essentially gives you the homestay to yourselves. Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and group size and we'll quote you a slightly better rate for the full block.
Yes. Each Deluxe bathroom has its own water heater. We keep them on through the day in winter so you can shower whenever — late mornings, after a hike, before bed. If you ever find it cold, let us know and we'll fix it within minutes.
